December News!
A Note From Mrs. Wilkins
Happy December Warren families,
What a privilege it is to work with your child/ren. Building wide we are finishing up our personal narrative unit in writing and moving into informative writing. We have completed our first units in math and reading and have been diving into Mystery Science, a new science instructional tool with hands-on-activities and experiments. We have had two Mighty Manners Assemblies highlighting our students who have demonstrated our “Warren Words” throughout our campus (“Here at Warren we are kind, honest, safe, respectful, and responsible”). Glorious Kindness club members (K-5) have been selected and brainstorming a plethora of ideas to bring more kindness into our Warren community. All of this is just a brief snapshot of all the learning, events, and activities happening here at Warren.
During this season of giving and reflection, we are thankful for you and all you do to support our community. Thank you for participating in Parent-Teacher conferences, communicating with your child’s teacher, and working with us to better support your child/ren. Your child/ren bring so much joy to our lives.
Wishing you all the best,
Mrs. Wilkins

Reindeer Express
Reindeer Express is a Christmas store put on by the PTO. Items are purchased through out the year, for $1 or less, in the following categories: Ladies, Men’s, Teen, Children, and Pets. Tickets are sent home with each student allowing the student to purchase Christmas presents for their family (and pets). If the students family wants to participate they send a CUT, filled out ticket along with $2 for each person the student is buying for. There is a limit of 8 per student unless the family gets prior approval via Mrs. Wilkins before hand. There is a wide variety of items for the students to choose from, and they always have so much fun buying presents for their families.
Winter Program
Warren Elementary School will hold its Winter Concert on Thursday, December 20th
with one performance at 10:00 AM at the Helena Middle School Auditorium.
Doors will open at 9:30 AM.
This concert is a big deal for our students (and their music teachers)! It is their one chance to show the hard work they invest in their music learning all year long. Will you do three things to help this big day go smoothly?
Before concert day:
Please help your student to pick out a special outfit that will reinforce the importance of our concert. We ask that your child wears their best/nicest clothes. This is a special day for all of us and we would like the kids to feel special in every way.
Remember that all students will ride the bus to and from the concert with no exceptions. We do this to ensure the safety of all of our students and appreciate your understanding.
On concert day:
Please show your student what a respectful audience looks like. We work hard in school to prepare students to be a respectful audience for their peers during the concert, but words only go so far. They will be looking to you for their audience etiquette example. Please plan to stay for the entire performance (less than an hour) as it is disruptive to have audience members leaving throughout. The students are excited to share their hard work with you!
We will not be offering video downloads for sale this year, but you are welcome to make your own recording of the performance.
Thank you! We’ll see you at HMS at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 20!

A Note from PTO
PTO is so excited as one of our most favorite events is coming up - Reindeer Express!! This is such a fun time giving our kiddos the opportunity to shop for their family for the holiday season. The store will be open on Dec 14th. Teachers will be sending home more information as the date draws nearer.
Thank you to all who helped make our Parent/Teacher conference dinner a success!! There was lots of happy teachers!
The older kids got to go to Carroll College to watch a women's basketball game last month, from what we've heard it went great!! PTO was happy to help facilitate this opportunity by covering the cost of transportation.
Taco Johns Night was a HUGE success! We brought in $783.46. That's over $300 more than our last one. This money goes towards our annual expenses which includes teacher reimbursements, 100th Day Sundae, 5th Grade Celebration, Teacher Luncheon, to name a few. Thank you to everyone who helped make this night a great turnout!!
Keep collecting those Box Tops! Our next collection time will be in February. We made our goal last time, let's see if we can do it again!! We're aiming for another 8,000!!
