Congratultations to our Junior Basketball Teams! We had two boys' teams and a girls' team who played with determintation and great spirit and showed tremendous skill development. Each team played in exhibition games, a weekend tournmanet, and a final tournament against other Limestone DSB schools. Mrs. Campbell had the great pleasure of coaching one of the boys' teams. Thanks to our other coaches, Mrs. Bates and Mr. Flake.
We are very proud of our runners who participated in both the LCVI and Bayridge SS road races. Your dedication to training and your tremendous efforts on race day were awesome! Thanks for your supportive coaching Mr. Kimmerer!
Our track and field practices and try-outs are ongoing! We have been invited to a local meet at Storrington PS this Friday, where almost all of our Grades 3-8 students will compete. Students who make the team, will have a chance to go to regional meet on June 4th. Go Grzzlies! Thanks to our team of coaches led by Mrs. Pare: Mr. Wray, Mr. Kimmerer, and Mrs. Bates.
Our Grade 7/8s will have an ultimate frisbee team. This is a great co-ed sport that is self refereed! They will attend a tournament on June 21st. Thanks for coaching Mr. Argyle!

Planning for next year
Once again we are beginning to organize for the upcoming school year. This includes staffing, timetables and new registrations. If you will be leaving our school, please let us know. As well, if you know new families in our area, please encourage them to register as soon as possible. This helps with our planning!
We are also lookng at next year’s class placements for students. As a small school, we have few options, but we do need to make some decisions in regards to class placements depending on our organization. The creation of classes is a complex task that takes into account many factors. When determining placements for next year we consider learning and academic needs, behavioural and social needs, gender balance and class size. Our ultimate goal is to create balanced classrooms that maximize the potential for student learning.
We recognize that, in some cases, you may want to give input as a parent/guardian. In these cases, please submit a written or emailed request directly to me indicating the reasons for your request. The request should identify the optimal conditions for your child’s success but should not indicate a specific teacher request. We will do our best to accommodate your child’s needs but cannot guarantee specific placements.
We appreciate your support and understanding in this matter. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. campbellh@limestone.on.ca
