A Message from Dr. Lowry
Timberwolf Family,
Welcome to November! This month reminds us to be grateful and share our thanks. I'm thankful for having a school community with a nurturing staff, happy students and caring parents. WoodCreek Junior High School is the absolute BEST!
Also, this weekend I hope you were able to spend an hour extra outside doing something fun. If you happened to have forgotten to "fall back", then I hope this serves as a reminder.
The highlight of this past week was our WCJH Theatre performance of, Frozen. Our students and directors put in many hours and weeks preparing for the show. Congratulations to all our students and directors on an amazing performance and job well done. The start of our WCJH Basketball season begins this coming week. Please come out and support the girls as they take on Tays Jr High and our boys take on Stockdick Jr High.
Please have your student check our Lost and Found. We have collected many jackets, lunch boxes and water bottles, and would love to return to their rightful owners. Any items unclaimed by the end of Friday, November 11th, PTA will take to KCM for donation.
Tomorrow will mark the beginning of the 3rd Six Weeks. Let's start out strong and enjoy the Fall weather!
GO TIMBERWOLVES!
Dr. Andrew Lowry

LIBRARY BOOK NOTIFICATIONS
In alignment with Board policy EFB Local - Library Materials, beginning November 7, the District will begin emailing all parents/guardians on file each time their student checks out a library book.
SECONDARY ENGLISH CLASSROOM LIBRARIES
English Language Arts (ELA) Classroom libraries allow students immediate access to independent reading material, which supports the English Language Arts Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. Secondary students have the option to check out books from their English teacher’s classroom library. Please note that beginning November 7, prior to a student being able to check out an ELA classroom library book, parental consent will be required. On November 7, parents will be able to access the Katy ISD Parent Option Portal, located in MyKaty Cloud, to provide consent for their secondary student to check out books from their English teacher’s classroom. If parents do not provide consent via the Parent Option Portal, their secondary student will be unable to check out an English classroom library book.
