Flyin' By....
I cannot believe how quickly this year is going!! January is almost over!!! Can you believe there are only 29 days until Spring Break.... and then we'll begin counting another year down! We still have LOTS to accomplish before then so it's important to stay on top of your concerns with students so we can take them as far as possible. Please remember to schedule SSTs for those who need something extra or if their "extra" isn't helping them be successful and we need to discuss a further referral. It's important to keep those parents involved--that's usually going to be our first question (ie. "have you conferenced recently with the parents") as they are such a critical factor. Kinder, 1st and 2nd grade teachers--be sure you've had that initial "we are considering retention" conference and documented with a parent signature by mid-February. No "shockers" in April/May.
THANK YOU so much to those who checked on my grandsons on Friday. Your texts and emails were very kind and thoughtful! Their ear tubes are in and all went well! Hopefully, no more ear infections!!!
Please Copy/Paste this meeting info to ALL FAMILIES on Monday & Attach the Report Card document

Jump Rope for Heart: Monday is Alternate Schedule C
Alternate Schedule C is printed below. Please make sure you know when your specials time is and try to pick up on time because they have no breaks between classes.
Jump Rope for Heart assembly will be at 2:00 in the gym.
TELPAS
The TELPAS windows open very soon. Sandra will be going over expectations at 3:15pm on February 5th. If you have an ESL student, you will need to attend this training.
Please VOTE!!
Only about half of our staff have given input for Teacher of the Year! Please take a moment to make your choices!! We will make the announcement the week of February 11th.
Intervention Lab
Attached are screenshots of the Intervention Lab attendance. VERY FEW students are actually attending when they are supposed to, so this does not count as intervention. We will be removing students from the list if they have not started attending by the end of this week. This means they will need to receive alternate intervention if they are one of your critical concerns. If you cannot get them to attend by contacting their parents again, please SST so we can discuss your concerns.
Morning Lab
Yellow highlights are the only ones attending regularly.
Alternate Schedule C
Schedule for Monday, January 28th
Afternoon Lab Attendance
Yellow highlights are the only ones attending regularly.
Data Meetings
I will continue with data meetings this week for 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade. Please be prepared to discuss your concerns and how you will be addressing those students who are at approaches and need to be moved on to meets/masters.
