Regina Jr Sr High Newsletter
April 9, 2020
From the Principal
Many of us are still reeling from the loss of John DeMarco. Please keep his wife Diane in your prayers. We will have a memorial service for John when we are able to do so. Also, we are working on a memorial to honor John. Information will be communicated as it is available.
I have included some news and faith resources in this newsletter. I hope everyone is able to enjoy this upcoming weekend.
Here are some of the articles and links included this month:
- Holy Week & Easter Resources from Sadlier Religion- https://bit.ly/39V2ho7
- An article that discusses the academic benefits of music involvement. Study after study shows that students involved in band, orchestra, and choir perform better academically.
- Information of the 2002 Census from Bishop Zinkula.
- Updates on activities from IHSAA, IGHSAU, IHSMA, and IHSSA.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Glenn Plummer

OnMedia High School Salute
One of the unfortunate results of COVID 19 is the impact it is having on the high school graduates from the Class of 2020. Sadly, many, if not all, of the traditional events that recognize the efforts and accomplishments of the graduates have been cancelled. Therefore, OnMedia would like to honor the Class of 2020 from all our Iowa City and Surrounding area high schools.
Beginning May 11th and airing thru 6/7, across all our cable networks, OnMedia will air :30 second Public Service Announcements honoring the deserving graduates from each of our area high schools.
It is our pleasure to recognize all of the 2020 high school graduates. Please let your graduates know about this upcoming campaign so they can be on the lookout for the Public Service Announcement honoring their graduating class. On behalf of all the employees at OnMedia, a big congratulations to all the 2020 graduates from Regina Catholic High School.
