ProStart Teams Head to State
Good luck to Mac High’s ProStart teams, both Culinary and Management, which head to Salem for the state championships on Monday. The Culinary team will prepare a gourmet meal with an appetizer, entree and dessert, and Management will compete with a marketing presentation.

Middle School Wrestling State Champion!
Congratulations to Patton’s Kolby Wofford who won the state championship in the 275 weight class by a 3-0 decision. Also on the podium was Duniway’s Cole Thomas, who pinned his opponent to win 5th place in the 85 weight class.

Patton at School Board
Patton students attended the School Board meeting this week to talk about the AVID program. After outlining the program and its goals and what their experiences with it has been, they ended on a fun note by helping board members participate in a team-building “AVID Olympics” exercise.

Dance with Me!
Mac High’s Doernbecher Club is sponsoring a dance clinic for children ages 4 through 9 on Saturday, March 23. Find out more here.
Parent Engagement Meeting
The Willamette Education Service District is hosting a parent engagement meeting for Native American and Alaskan Indian families next Tuesday, March 19 at McMinnville High School, beginning with dinner at 5:30 p.m.
The evening also includes childcare for families and staff, gas cards for families and

McMinnville’s “If I were Mayor” Contest Deadline is March 22
Students in grades 4 - 12 are invited to enter Oregon’s 2024 “If I Were Mayor” arts contest. Categories include elementary (poster), middle school (essay) and high school (digital media presentation).
