CBGS and CGS Information Night: November 10th
The application process for current freshmen interested in CBGS will open and close in December. Minimum requirements for this program include a B average and completion or currently enrolled in Algebra I first semester and geometry second semester. The program is competitive, and we have 6 CBGS seats for the current 9th graders. The CBGS website has more information. High School students interested in CGS can still apply, but there must be an available seat in their grade level to be considered. A family information night for Governor's Schools (CGS and CBGS) will be held November 10th at 6 pm at the King George Middle School.

Do you know how many credits you need to be promoted?
In order to be a sophomore a student must earn at least 5 credits
In order to be a junior a student must earn at least 10 credits
In order to be a senior a student must earn at least 15 credits and be able to graduate at the end of the year
It's October so it is time for parents of college bound seniors to fill out the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA)

Application Process
Applications may be acquired from the financial aid office of the private institution the student plans to attend. Completed applications must be submitted to the financial aid office of the institution on, or before, July 31 prior to the fall semester of enrollment. Applications submitted after July 31, but no later than December 1, will be considered for an award only if funds are available. Click here to complete the application.
