Literacy
In Writer's Workshop we are working independently when choosing a topic, creating a picture, and writing a story. Students can choose any topic (narrative, informational, or opinion).
By now in Writer's Workshop our goal is to write 3 sentences, include a capital letter at the beginning, and punctuation at the end. Please help remind your child about using capital letters only at the beginning of a sentence or for a name.
Math
Community Helpers
We also had to field trips where we were able to meet a librarian and fire fighters. Next week we will learn about carpenters and chefs!

Thanks again for those of you that have donated some already! It is greatly appreciated!
Birthdays
At Crestview Elementary School we take time during morning announcements to highlight students who are celebrating their birthdays. This includes announcing their names and grade levels over the school wide intercom system. If for any reason you do not want your child’s name and birthday announced, please reach out to Janet Ellis, Office Coordinator, in our front office and she will make note of the request.
A reminder that due to life threatening allergies students should not be bringing birthday treats to school this year.
