From Your Principal
Good Evening Buena Vista Parents,
I hope you are all having a great week. A couple of quick reminders that next week is Spring Break and school will be closed April 1st-April 5th. We do have a full day of school this Friday and are on a regular Friday schedule.
I want to give a heart felt thank you to Mrs. Bockser who coordinated a fantastic BV Science Fair last week. What an amazing turn-out from our young scientists and their families. Your egg drop designs were great, and only one egg dropped on me...not too shabby. Lots of growing engineers in our bulldog crew. Thank you for all of your amazing designs and experiments.
It's been very busy at Buena Vista. Thank you to all of the parents and family members that have joined us for lunch in the breezeway this week and who have visited our Book Fair. Tomorrow we welcome our TK, 2nd grade and 5th grade families. Here are your scheduled times:
- Thursday, March 28: Transitional Kindergarten 11:00-11:40
- Thursday, March 28: 2nd grade 11:50-12:30
- Thursday March 28 5th Grade 12:15-12:55
Please remember to sign in at the main office before meeting your student in the breezeway.
Buena Vista Parent Ambassadors
We are preparing for a new group of TK and Kinder students to join Buena vista in the 24/25 school year. On April 15th we will host a parent information night and we are looking for current Buena Vista parents to join us. We are hoping to support families that are new to the area (or the country!) become acclimated and involved community members. We want families to make healthy connections within our community and be comfortable asking questions and learning how they, too, are a part of their child's educational team.
If you are interested in becoming a Parent Ambassador, please fill out this form.
We have a lot to look forward to after spring break. We will have our TK/K information night, CAASPP testing April 22-May 6, our BV Jamboree and Glow Dance , and all of the fun end of year activities for our 5th grade students.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe spring break and I look forward to seeing everyone when school resumes on April 8
It's a great day to be a Bulldog!
Respectfully,
Angela Gramlick
