American Mathematic Competition
The American Mathematics Competition (AMC) Exam will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Due to budget and schedule restraints, we are only able to offer the AMC once; students must choose to participate in the AMC 10A or the AMC12A. Students interested in taking the exam should go to the registration website: https://sites.google.com/a/beaverton.k12.or.us/amc-exam/
The last day to sign up is Friday, January 11.

A huge Thank You to all of the volunteers who made the 2018 Junior Mock Interviews a huge success! In just under two days 662 students were interviewed by 120 volunteers. This is such a valuable experience for our students as they prepare for their future after high school.
Future Connect Scholarship Workshop and help with FAFSA/ORSAA, Monday, Dec. 10th1:00pm. College Career Center (CCC). Bring your charged Chromebook and get individual help on your FAFSA, ORSAA, Future Connect, Oregon Promise, OSAC, PCC application or any other financial aid forms you’re struggling with. WHS Technology
- Library: Did you know the library has Escape Room experiences for free? Solve puzzles, work in groups, and try to 'escape' before time runs out. (Registration required, as there is limited space.) Try it out this Saturday, December 8, 2018

- Digital Citizenship: Building interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships effectively is an important aspect of Digital Citizenship. What better way to understand how relationships work and affect our greater community that applying to become an Oregon State Honorary Page. Get a tour of the capital, learn about the legislative process, and understand not only the ways laws are created, but witness how professionals interact. Important Dates
Inclement Weather Information
School closure or delayed start decisions will typically be communicated to media outlets and posted on the District website, Facebook and Twitter by 5:30 a.m.
We encourage families to make transportation and attendance decisions for their child(ren) based on their own assessment of travel conditions at their location.
When all district schools and facilities are closed
All daytime and evening activities/events on closure days are canceled.
When there is a 2-hour delay in opening school and buses are on snow routes
All schools will open two hours later than regularly scheduled.
The following classes/programs are canceled:
o AM early intervention
o AM Preschool Classes
o AM Health Careers & Auto Program
Terra Nova Program is canceled all day.
There will be no bus service for Bonny Slope, Nancy Ryles and Sato elementary schools.
Bus services will not be provided to McKinney-Vento students living outside of the district.
When school is on time and buses are on snow routes
All schools operate on regular daily schedules.
There will be no bus service for Bonny Slope, Nancy Ryles and Sato elementary schools
Terra Nova Program is canceled all day.
If the weather forecast calls for declining weather conditions throughout the day, the district will implement snow routes for PM dismissal.
When weather conditions necessitate an early closure of schools
We encourage you to refer to the BSD website, SchoolMessenger and local media for more detailed information.
All daytime and evening activities/events are canceled.
Wednesday – Early Dismissal School Days
The District will not have a 2-hour delay on Wednesday. The District will maintain a regular
Wednesday schedule with Early Release or close schools for the day.
