Message From The Principal
Good afternoon Stoller families,
This week has taught us so much about flexibility, perseverance, and focusing on the things we can control. At the end of the day, we are grateful for our Stoller students and families. We know that this is difficult for everyone, and yet we are committed to keeping students in our building safe and trying our best to minimize disruption to their learning.
If you have been keeping up with the news, you’d know that schools across the district and nation are experiencing varying degrees of impact from Covid. Stoller is no exception. Please stay informed by reading this newsletter and emails you receive from the school.
As the weather shifts and fall weather arrives, we have installed a tent on the east side of the building. The will provide a protected eating area for students. We will need to be creative in our use of space when we are not able to have students eat outside.
Thank you all for your support and patience as we navigate a very unfamiliar year.
If you were not able to join our Back to School NIght Welcome Session where we explained how to access teacher videos, I am including the link to the web page below. There you will find videos made by your students' teachers. The videos are an opportunity for you to meet your student’s teachers and find out what students will be learning this year. If you were not able to join the welcome 10 minute session, it is OK. The bulk and most important part of this year’s Back to School Night are the teacher videos (below) which can be viewed on-demand at your convenience.

Please make sure you read the section below re: cell phone policy. We really appreciate your cooperation with this. Please make sure you review it with your student.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Important News
Cell Phone Policy
Our cell phone policy is “off and away.” This means that phones are shut down completely and put away from bell to bell (9:15 - 3:50). If students need to contact home, they can come to the office and use the phone.
If a student is using their phone during school hours, we will give them a reminder to turn it off and put it away.
If a student has a second incident of phone use, we will have them check it in with the front office and they can pick it up after school.
If a student has a third incident of phone use, we will have the check in with the front office and a parent/guardian will need to pick it up.
Continued violation will be addressed on a case by case basis.
We appreciate your cooperation and support with this.
Student Water Bottles
Please send students with water bottles
Due to covid concerns, we are asking that students bring their own water bottle. There are sinks in every hall for students to refill them. Water fountains are not available for students.
Please send a water bottle so that your student can have water throughout the day and remind them to refill their bottles throughout the day.
Band is outside!
Sunset HS Football Games
From a safety standpoint, Sunset HS is discouraging any unvaccinated individuals from attending.
Thank you.

Stoller Science Olympiad
Dear Parents,
Stoller Science Olympiad activities are kicking off.
Founded in 1984, Science Olympiad is one of the premier science competitions in the nation, providing standards-based challenges to nearly 5,000 teams at 375 live and remote tournaments in all 50 states last year. Information can be found: https://www.soinc.org/
If your child is interested, please be aware that weekly commitment for the kids is upwards of 4-6 hours/week, and parent involvement is necessary for the team to participate in the events. Up to 15 students form a team, we currently have 2 teams, if student interest is high, we will need a parent to coach a 3rd team.
For questions or if interested in joining the team, please email team B coach Flori Perjeru at dr_perjeru@ hotmail.com
