Quality Counts: Pre-K

IDOE's Office of Early Learning will be releasing an Early Learning Guidebook later this year that includes ways to open a pre-k program. Click here to sign up for the Early Learning newsletter. Contact Sarah Parks-Reese at sparksreese1@doe.in.gov if you have questions about pre-k expansion. Please contact Amreen Vora or Bea Pacheco if you have questions about the Quality Counts grant.

Cohort 4
IDOE's Charter School Program team will be releasing the Cohort 4 Request For Proposals and application materials in December of 2019.
ED-FLEX Application
The U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) has offered states the ability to waive specific statutory or regulatory requirements for LEAs related to certain programs under ESSA. IDOE has developed six requirements in which it is requesting USDOE to grant the ability for our state to waive. These requirements can be found on page nine of IDOE’s ED-FLEX application. Please note that most federal requirements are ineligible to be waived. The public is requested to provide input regarding this waiver request via this Jotform by November 25. Based upon feedback provided by the public, IDOE will submit the request to USDOE shortly thereafter for consideration. The ability to implement the waiver is subject to approval by USDOE. Questions regarding this waiver request can be sent to Nathan Williamson.
