Need a job?!? THREE Job Fair Opportunities!
Seniors - still uncertain about your path after graduation? Juniors - Thinking ahead to your senior year and beyond?
Many seniors are still wondering what life after high school will look like for them. If this is you, this newsletter highlights three opportunities to explore local workforce options, opportunities within the military, and technical/trade certification programs. Options exist during the school day at MVHS, in Nampa, and on a day off from school at RMHS. Visit one or all three...some vendors attending are the same and there are some different at each event!
For juniors, there will be information on summer job options as well as opportunities to explore college and other career exploration for the future.
For those who would like to do some preparation ahead of time and explore career areas, here are some short "quizzes" to help you focus your search and find some areas of potential interest for the future!
Next Steps Idaho: Anyone can utilize these by visiting the Next Steps Idaho website...which has a ton of great information, checklists, and advice for high school students!
Scoir: This is the college application management system MVHS uses to send transcripts and help students with organizing their college search and application process. They also offer a comprehensive interest/personality/strengths inventory called You Science to students enrolled in Scoir (free to all MVHS students). The You Science assessment takes a couple hours to complete, but can be done in multiple sessions and provides more in-depth information than the others listed above. Once in Scoir, you can access it through the "My Profile" tab, under "Career Profile."
To sign up for your Scoir account, search your school email for an invite to Scoir...this link should allow you to sign in. If you don't find it, contact the MVHS Career Center to help you get access!
