Principal Ponderings: Moment Making
In his book, Moment Maker, Carlos Whittaker shares with us the importance of finding great joy in the tiny moments that happen in our daily experiences. Check out the video below to hear more.
Administrative Items
- Lunch Duty: King, Ott, Magrance
- Lancer Leader of the Week: Physical Education
- Late Start: Course
- P2: Love of Learning
- Gradebook: Minimum requirement for gradebooks is that HW is capped at a 20% weighting in all gradebooks. It can be lower than that, but it cannot be higher. Here is a video from John Hattie regarding homework to have some reflection and discussion around. Please, have this adjustment made before the end of the day on Friday, March 8.
- Google Classroom: expectation for Classroom is that all teachers are posting at least their assignment for the day and any HW. Recent conversations show that parents do rely on this as a communication tool between home and school.
- Lakeshore Middle School Building Calendar: You all have been given editing rights to add items to the calendar that could potentially impact the daily schedule or after school events that others may be interested in attending. Examples: special events, testing dates, field trips, etc.
