General Communication
In general communication you must consider that who you are communicating to may have some Cultural Differences to you. Some words and forms of body language or signs may be okay in your language and culture but could mean something completely different in another or could mean something disrespectful, this must be addressed. The different people in your audience can range from any age and any background which will change their personality and will affect the way that you communicate with them. When you are in an audience you can always ask questions or ask if there are any questions, if somebody has finished talking and asks if anybody has any questions it is best if you do ask questions because that then shows that you want some more information and you are interested, this then gives them a good impression of you.
Interpersonal communication
Interpersonal communication involves changing your expressions and the way you express yourself through communication, you can speak with a raised voice which shows that you are angry or impatient, using a lowered voice shows others that you seem in fear, insecure or maybe a little bit anti-social. You can show positivity by using positive language and showing that you are in agreement with the speaker by saying "yes" and using a positive sounding voice too. If you interrupt somebody when they are talking it is seen as either rude, enthusiastic or maybe even antagonistic. If you finish people’s sentences then that can be irritating to the speaker. If you do not speak at all then you can then this can make the speaker think that you are not wanting to listen or are bored of listening. Another way of communicating is by paying attention and showing that you understand by nodding to or frowning to show that you do not understand or are confused, the speaker may notice this and go into detail or if not the raise your hand and/or ask them to go into detail, this shows that you are listening and are interested.
Written Communication
Written communication is the method of communicating in writing style, written communication is permanent and cannot be taken back unlike verbal communication so be careful what you what you write/type. Written communication is usually a way of communicating with somebody that is far away, so sending a letter, an email or maybe a text message. Emails and letters you would write formally as in a text message you usually wouldn't, depending on who it is that is to receive the message, "formal" just means that it is done in accordance with convention or etiquette so it is suitable for or constituting an official or important occasion so you could say that a dress code is formal for example, so when writing a letter formally you would use "dear or greetings" to start off and "kind regards, many thanks or I appreciate you taking the time to read this". You may talk differently over a text message to your friend because you are not trying to make a good impression of yourself to them.

Overcoming Barriers To General Communication
If you are talking and trying to eliminate a language barrier then there is always the option to use an online translator or have a human translator with you, with the accent barrier I would suggest that you either get somebody that understands what it is they are saying but has the same accent as you or one that you can at least understand, if it is you with the accent that your audience struggles to understand the you don't want to shout to get what it is you're saying across as it will not help the comprehension, speak slowly, avoid complex words and big sentences.
