SJF Jr. NEWS
April 2024
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
Dear SJF Jr. Community,
I hope you had a nice long weekend and you were able to enjoy it. The weather was particularly clement at this time of the year. Please continue to dress your child warmly despite the early spring as we will still have some chilly days coming our way.
Our students are focusing on our school's monthly value (honesty) but also on continuing to add new leaves to our Arbre du Respect which has lost some leaves due to its transplantation. It is heart-warming to witness their pride when they get to add something to those billboards. Thank you for supporting us and talking about values, respect, kindness, and so on with your child. It has a positive impact on our school climate and makes our school the best place to be!

Info items
1- We understand that there may be exceptional circumstances where a change must be made to your child's end-of-the-day pickup plan. If this happens, please communicate the change to your child's teacher and our school secretary, Mrs. Har,t by noon (nadine.hart@lbpsb.qc.ca).
If this also affects the daycare, please also add Mrs. Hammock (shammock@lbpsb.qc.ca), daycare coordinator, to the communication. Thank you for your cooperation.
2- For the walkers/bikers: please allow the student bussers to leave the front of the school where they are lining up to go to their busses before walking in this area with your children. This will facilitate the supervision in this area and help make sure that all bussers are making their way to their bus safely. Thank you!
3- For safety purposes SEED dismissal will only begin once the busses have left the property.
4- To ensure the safety of all our children we are asking families not to send food to share with their child’s classmates to celebrate birthdays and/or special occasions. Please note that all food brought from home to share will be sent back home with your child.

It was a hit they loved it!
