MISA Testing for 8th graders
The Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA) is a science assessment for 8th grade students. This assessment provides educators, parents, and the public with information on student progress towards science literacy.
At TVMS, MISA has been scheduled for March 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th during your student's Science class.
It is essential all students come to school on time on testing days and we ask that you not schedule appointments or early dismissals on testing days. Additionally, students should bring their charged Chromebook and charger to use during testing. Students should continue to bring all classroom materials.
Personal electronic devices (cell phones, ipads, smart watches, etc.) are not permitted in the testing areas.
Please contact Kristy Ritchie, Assistant Principal at 410-313-8711 with any questions.
As always, thank you for your support and flexibility!
Community Program: LIFE ELITE ATHLETICS AAU BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
The LIFE Elite Athletics AAU Basketball tryouts are open to boys from grades 4-7 (10U-13U). The AAU season is for student-athletes that want to enhance their basketball skills to the highest potential. The schedule for the teams include local and out of state tournaments depending on the slated team.
We are an organization that creates opportunities for youth and young adults to achieve their dreams by providing them with resources, instilling work ethic, and building the confidence needed to be successful adults.
Teaching the game of basketball is an avenue used to achieve said goals. We believe in using basketball as a tool to prepare the players for real life; by instilling discipline, dedication, teamwork, leadership to name a few. In addition, we work on the fundamentals of basketball and enhancing the basketball IQ of each player. Lastly, we aim to win, to build confidence in our kids, and learn from losses.
Read here for information about the organization and tryout locations and dates.
