Team Notes
K-2 will discuss growth/progress on DIBELS and TRC in addition to grade level wide interventions. 3-6 will review common assessment data and make action steps for closing gaps.
ISTEP+ Convo
The students in grades 3-6 will participate in an ISTEP+ Kick-Off Convocation on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the gym. I am searching for several staff members who would like to help perform into skit to pump up the students. There are multiple roles. If you are interested, and you are a 3-6 teacher, please let me know today.
Dr. Suess Field Trip
Tomorrow is the field trip for PK-2 grade to see Dr. Suess' The Cat In the Hat. All students will report to the lunchroom at 10:30 a.m. Teachers will take their students with their lunch back to the classroom to eat. The buses will depart at 11:15 a.m. Due to the travel time, it is critical that buses leave at 11:15 a.m.
Observations
I will be conducting the second long observation this week and next for anyone who is a new teacher, or on an intervention/performance plan.
Staff Meeting
I have cancelled our staff meeting for tomorrow. Our guest speaker from Mid-Town will be rescheduled for a later date.
Kid Power Program
The Unicef Kid Power Program has officially begun in third through sixth grade. Soon, you will see students wearing bracelets that look like FitBits. The students are tracking their movement and earning points to purchase food for starving children around the world. Please encourage and motivate our scholars as they participate in this invaluable service learning opportunity.
Out Today
Aimee Stailey will be out today. I will be out for a meeting in the afternoon with Mr. Pratt.
Candles
The candles from the fundraiser will arrive today. They will be sorted after school, and will be available for pick-up tomorrow.
