Shorewood Hills Shark Tooth
October 9th, 2020
Thank you so much for all of the feedback you provided on our fall virtual learning survey. I will keep the survey open until this evening. If you have not had a chance to fill it out, we would love for you to share your thoughts!
Our School Based Leadership Team will dig into your feedback and we will use it to inform improvements to virtual learning over the coming weeks. I will also give an overview of the results at our 1st PTO meeting on Tuesday evening (more info below).
Finally, I am excited to share our new logo which you will find in the upper right hand corner. Many thanks to our English Language Learner teacher, Ms. Gretzinger, for supporting this project!
In partnership,
Anne Gillespie
Interim Principal
National Coming Out Day
Shorewood will celebrate next week (October 12th-16th). During this time, we will talk about family diversity, preventing bias-based bullying, teaching students how to be allies, and learning about gender and gender stereotypes. We are very proud to be a Welcoming Schools “Seal of Excellence” school. This includes honoring those with diverse perspectives. Therefore, if you have concerns about your student participating in our National Coming Out Day lessons, please contact me at agillespie@Madison.k12.wi.us.
Seeking Computer Monitor Donations!
If you have a monitor you'd like to donate, you can leave it at our front door anytime or you can reach out to Ms. Gillespie at agillespie@madison.k12.wi.us.

Sports Equipment Drive!
Do you have a garage or yard filled with sports equipment your children have outgrown?! Consider donation of ANY and ALL new or gently used sports equipment to Shorewood Hills Elementary Sports Gear Exchange.
Boxes/Bins will be located outside of Shorewood Schools main entrance (blue star in photo). Drop off will be now through October 16th.
Our distribution day will be October 18th from 12:00PM-3:00PM.
You do not have to donate to participate in the exchange. There will be a one way pick up located at the wrap-around behind the school, where you may drive through and we will assist you.
Masks are REQUIRED on school property and we ask that everyone practice safe social distancing. All items will be washed/sanitized prior to pick-up. Anything left will be donated to the school or MSCR. We thank you for your consideration. We look forward to seeing you!!
