Instructional Day
Early Drop Off
- Students can be dropped off at either door in the mornings.
- Students dropped off between 7:30-7:50 - PK students will be monitored in the hallway near their classroom. Kindergarten-Second grade students will be in the cafeteria and 3rd-5th graders will be in the gym. Students in these holding areas will be picked up by their teachers at 7:50 to begin breakfast.
- Please be sure all students are ready to exit the vehicle as quickly as possible to keep the drop-off lines moving.
- As in the afternoon, on the 2nd-5th Grade afternoon carpool side, please do not stop at the doors, pull up all the way to the end of the building. This allows more vehicles to get off the street and more students to exit their vehicles quicker. The line will move smoother and quicker, and allow all parents to get to work!
- At 8:00 only the front doors will remain unlocked for students to enter.
Prek-1st Grade Carpool Pick UP
This is the first time for many students to come to school and it is all new to them. Let's be kind to one another and work together to teach new families how to make the carpool line flow quickly and safely. Expect delays the first couple of days.
- Be sure to have a sign visible through your windshield with your child’s name and grade level.
- Enter the carpool lane single file from Howell Street. Slowly pull up to the carpool station number shown to you while in line.
- Be sure to leave space between station 1 and 2 for pedestrians using the crosswalk.
- The flagpole area is reserved for drivers of students not ready for pick up.
- The staff member walking the carpool lane will show you a carpool station number. She will then radio inside where staff will give students a matching carpool number card.
- An escort will bring the students to the appropriate carpool station if needed. This allows us to load many cars at once.
- You may only exit LEFT on Regina Lane.
- No students will be released to anyone who walks up to the building while dismissal is taking place. You will be asked to return to your vehicle and get in the correct dismissal line.
- If you arrive after 4:00pm, you must come inside to sign your child out.
2nd - 5th Grade Carpool Pick Up
- 2nd - 5th grade students with PK-1st grade siblings will dismiss with their younger sibling on the PK-1 side.
- The carpool line starts on Regina Lane coming from Savannah Trace, and then moves into the lot once motioned into the drive by a staff member. Do not come from Howell and cut in the line. You will be asked to go to the end of the line.
- Buses enter the same line, allow them to get in and out. Bus drivers are on a tight schedule and must drop off elementary students and then pick up middle school students.
- Be sure you have a sign visible through your windshield including your child(ren)’s name(s) and grade level(s). A staff member will be standing on the street to call names.
- To help the flow of traffic, please pull up as far as possible to wait for your child. You may see your child exiting, but do not wave him/her to you or stop to have him get in. This stops traffic and only increases the wait time in the line for everyone else. Staff members will tell your child to continue walking.
- Only turn RIGHT on Regina Lane when exiting.
- No students will be released to anyone who walks up to the building while dismissal is taking place. You will be asked to return to your vehicle and get in the correct dismissal line.
- When there is no line left, students will be sent to the front of the building to be released.
- If you arrive after 4:00pm, you must come to the front doors to sign your child out.
Lunch
Due to the current pandemic, students are not allowed to have lunchtime visitors. The district is monitoring the situation closely and will make adjustments as things improve.

School Counseling
Individual and Small Group Sessions, on a variety of topics, will also be available throughout the year. At Meet the Teacher a permission form was provided for you to sign giving Ms. Martinson permission to counsel your child. If the need arises throughout the year, then the permission form is on record and she can begin visiting with your child. Forms will be sent home for your to sign and return to your child's teacher if there is not one for your child yet!
You can click the link to the counseling request form here to request counseling if the need arises. You can also email Ms. Martinson at jmartin@bmtisd.com to request those services.
One-to-One Technology
All damages will be paid through myschoolbucks, including outstanding charges from last year. A copy of the damages will be sent to you. Pricing may take longer to send to you as there may be more damages than what can be seen by the eye.
If your child leaves the district, all loaned devices must be turned into Regina, including MiFi's.
