Thank you to Lisa Smith for being a kind and compassionate listener, for offering suggestions, and for being a good friend.
Thanks to Sofie Vastano for the smiles and good humor- always.
Thanks to athletics and the entire fine arts/music departments for giving our students a connection to school that prompts academic success. You make our jobs a little easier by the goals our students have set in your classes inspiring performance in our classes.
Kudos to Caroline Branca &Tricia McDaniel for always doing a great job with the students. Caroline gets to school at 6am and begins tutoring at 7:15. Face it, some of you are just getting up when she is already at school. Tricia works with whatever students are thrown at her and she smiles as she does her best to meet their varied needs. I'm very fortunate to be working with both of them.
Kudos to Ashley Brunette for the miracles that she and her staff work on a daily basis and the amazing things that are happening in her classroom. You will not only see her students moving through the halls quietly and efficiently collecting the recycle bins, but they will cheerfully serve you on Thursday morning at the Bulldog Cafe. Since I can't get away to visit the cafe, she has a student deliver to me. She is providing the teachers and staff at HeMS with services that make our lives better, but what this gives to her students goes so much farther. Her students have a sense of belonging and of doing something that matters and is important and they are learning skills far beyond a normal classroom. They are growing in their self esteem, learning social skills that many students could learn, and they always seem so happy because they take pride in what they are doing and feel valued. You, your staff, and your students are appreciated. Thanks and kudos.
Desiree Le- kudos and gratitude to you for being the do-all for 7th math intervention- except lunch and I'm working on that!
Elaine Fowler - thank you for being the provider of support, cards, wisdom, and paper. You are appreciated by all of us.
- Laurie Stauffer
I would like to give a Kudos to Briana Troxler. She filled in for an ARD when another teacher was not able to make it with no prior notice. She was so positive about attending the ARD and about the student, even though she probably had many other things she needed to do! I greatly appreciate her going out of her way to help me out!
- Kelli Hutka
Kudos to Ms. Xochiti Gamas for starting the second semester strong! Great job!
- Maryadele Troxler
Jennifer Bloch has been a life saver in helping me plan lessons and pick up the pieces for me while I was out sick before the holidays and for being out again this week!
Thank you TammyFern also for being there for my kids while I was out! :) I am so blessed to be working with you guys!
