Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Position
Deep Equity
As part of the plan to address the District’s equity goal, the District would like to partner
with an outside organization to provide professional learning to staff on diversity, equity, and inclusion and to develop student leaders. The outcomes of this professional learning
would be to:
To ensure ALL students, across all subgroups, achieve at high levels
To eliminate educational barriers and disparities
To create a climate of inclusion, where all students and families feel welcomed and valued
To eliminate instances of discrimination related to differences in race, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, language proficiency, and religion
The Administration is recommending that the District partner with Deep Equity to provide
this professional learning experience for all district administrators and building-level
equity leadership teams. The motion passed 4-3
