QBS Learning Centre News
Week beginning 27th January
New tools for learning.
At Quarry Bay School our virtual library is very well equipped. The Learning Centre pages on Qoodle are crammed with lots of subscription sites such as BrainPop and Britannica online, to name but a few. These are used constantly within school and also provide parents with an online reference library 24/7. These are expensive to buy for an individual so QBS tries to provide these to enhance learning both at home and at school.
This week we added a new subscription to the Learning Centre pages. National Geographic Kids is our latest purchase. This is a fabulous site as not only does it host all the children's National Geographic magazines but it also stores many of their children's publications. A quick search on sharks revealed 20 magazine articles and 15 books, all of a quality you would expect from National Geographic.
So get exploring and encourage your children to give it a go. The button on Qoodle should link you immediately to the site but if not the password is on the inquiry page.
Enjoy.
