Sample Lesson
Objective: Students will be able to identify traits about characters within the text (The Fall of the House of Usher) and provide textual evidence to support their claims.
-First I had students define characterization in their own words.
-Next pairs of students were assigned a character from the story and filled out a characterization graphic organizer.
-Then independently students worked to create a Facebook page for their specific character, referring back to their graphic organizer for details to incorporate.
