Note from Gina
The first two days of transition went extremely well! I want to share some information about transportation options for arrival and dismissal. We have enjoyed seeing you in the car lines, and the buses are rolling smoothly and safely. While the car line has been going smoothly, we know the number of cars will double in size after this period of transition, leading to longer wait times. We are working hard to minimize this possibility, but our space is limited, and safety is our priority.
Currently, Parkway’s transportation department is receiving many requests to add students to bus routes. Utilizing Parkway's transportation will have a positive impact on our car lines. To request busing you can call our office at 314-415-6600, call transportation at 314-415-8415, or email afisher3@parkwayschools.net. Please submit requests no later than Tuesday, October 27. It will take about 48 hours for the routes to take effect. You will be notified by Parkway’s transportation department when your bus stop is ready.

PTO News
Masks and Lanyards
Thank you to all that enjoyed Panda Express and supported PTO! If you missed mask/lanyard pick up, we will be offering a second pickup date, Sunday, October 25th from 2pm-3pm in front of the school. At this time, we do not have any extra face masks. However, if we can get enough interest, we will try to place another order for masks. If Sunday does not work for you, please contact Jessica Bruner, jessyerose14@yahoo.com to arrange another time!
Message from P.E. Teachers
We are so excited for this next step, Quarter #2!!! No matter if you are in-person or remaining virtual, we will continue to be your child's PE teachers. So, here is some information for the next quarter:
1. Hats, Coats, Gloves, OH MY! Please send your child with appropriate outerwear. WE WILL BE OUTSIDE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
2. Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Jump Rope for Heart)
We have your child's thank you favors! We will be handing these out as soon as possible. If you are virtual, please contact us to let us know how you want to get yours. We are happy to send home with a neighbor if that is helpful.
3. Virtual families- please continue to keep a basket or bucket for your child to keep items they will need such as a small ball, larger ball, scarf, pool noodle, balloon to blow up to use for volleying, and paper (they can use their basket or bucket as a target). Also, please send us an email if your child will not have their video on for whatever reason. We want to make sure that we are on the same page, and to ensure we can report accurately for Q2.
Have a great week,
Mrs. Skiba and Mrs. Wallace
3-5 Chrome book insurance
The district strongly encourages you to opt for the $25 insurance fee that helps cover device damage, loss, or theft. Students in grades K-2 and 12 will not need insurance because repairs can be made with existing parts on hand.
Learn more about the fee and the protection it provides and how to register here. If you need assistance, please email our Help Desk at helpdesk@parkwayschools.net.
