NCAA Free Webinar for College-Bound Athletes
Students interested in NCAA initial eligibility, there will be a FREE Webinar for college-bound student-athletes and families!
Are you a student-athlete dreaming of playing your sport at the NCAA level? Invest in your future and spend an hour on Wednesday, May 8, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., understanding the requirements and how to prepare for NCAA certification. Join NCAA Eligibility Center staff, who will walk you through what you need to do to compete at the NCAA Division I, II or III level. Staff will be answering questions live during the presentation, so come prepared to learn how to take your game to the next level! Click here to register.

Scholarships
UNO's Next Generation Leadership Scholarshop (NGLS)
The Next Generation Leadership Scholarship (NGLS) encourages and rewards students for their academic excellence and community engagement. There will be multiple scholarships awarded based on financial need for prospective University of Nebraska-Omaha students. Previous scholarships in the past have ranged from $1,000-$3,000. The deadline for the NGLS is Friday, June 7th at 5:00pm.

James M. Cox Foundation Scholarship Program
The James M. Cox Foundation scholarship program awards $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in Nebraska, with special emphasis on the eastern third of Nebraska, who will attend a Nebraska-based institution of higher learning in the upcoming academic year and demonstrate acute need. Click here to review the requirements, and to access the application. All applications are due April 15th, so don't delay!
Scholarship Reporting
Seniors and Parents, please fill out this google form to report all scholarships that your senior has been or is offered. This form will be open through April 26th and you can fill it out more than once.

You can also report any scholarships by email to Kathy Slader at kmslader@mpsomaha.org
You should report all scholarships even if your student does not plan to accept the scholarship (i.e. they choose to attend another college). Seniors will be recognized for the scholarships they have been awarded in the Graduation Ceremony program. It is a special honor!

MCC Credential College Opportunity
Metropolitan Community College is piloting a brand new, AMAZING opportunity with Millard Public Schools for students who are not college-bound but are interested in going straight into the workforce with high-demand, high-paying skills that will help you find employment in a high-demand career field. You can earn $16/hour for the training, as well. A Career Navigator from MCC is available in the MSHS Counseling Center all day on Fridays, and is eager to meet with interested students. Email your counselor if you would like to receive a pass to learn more!
