Important Service Update
NEW PROGRAM! Introducing... Symphonic Storytime!
We are so excited to bring this multifaceted celebration of the arts to you and your toddler! Symphonic Storytime launches this month and is a weekly video series that will pair a picture book with an orchestral piece-- classical or modern.
Following the book/music pairing will be a listening guide that will give you some talking points while you and your toddler listen to the music again. You are encouraged to have some coloring supplies ready to keep hands busy and minds engaged. This program can be found on the library's YouTube channel. As always, please reach out if you have any questions about Symphonic Storytime or any other library resource.
Mother Goose On the Loose
Mother Goose on the Loose is back! ... with a few changes. Registration is required and is limited to 5 adults with 1 to 2 children each. If you or a family member is sick or high risk, please refrain from participating.
Each family group will have a designated space and will be encouraged to stay together in that space. Adults, please wear a face covering. Children under the age of 5 are exempt from mask requirements.
If you can't make it in person, don't forget about our 4-part Mother Goose Online series available on YouTube.

Build Skills Every Day
Little interactions every day can add up to a BIG foundation for learning.
- Talk: Get your toddler involved in the kitchen! Let them help you stir a pot, push a button, or sprinkle seasonings. When it's time to eat, talk about how they helped you cook the meal!
- Sing: Form a marching band! Use whatever instruments you have, or just grab something to hit like a drum. Then march around the house to the beat!
- Read: Instead of turning the page as soon as you finish reading the text, take a few seconds to linger over the illustrations. Pause after reading and silently count 5 seconds before turning the page, giving your little one time to absorb the words and connect them to the picture.
- Write: Write a note to your child letting them know why you are thankful for them. Then help them write a note to someone else for whom they are thankful.
- Play: Roll a ball back and forth between you and your baby. This game doesn't just build sports skills. It also prepares baby's brain for the back and forth of conversation!

Go Ahead... Sing!
If you're thankful and you know it, clap your hands.
If you're thankful and you know it, clap your hands.
If you're thankful and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it.
If you're thankful and you know it, clap your hands.
...stomp your feet
...give a hug
...shout, "I am!"
