West Oxford Owl
March 1, 2024
We had our opening round of Math Fact March Madness today! The winning classes are Hart, Woodlief, Bachman, Hathaway, Nunnamaker, and Hernandez. These classes join Stoneback and Wells for elite eight to compete on March 7th at 10:00 in the cafeteria. Please make sure your student is practicing their facts at home. Parents are welcome to come watch. Our Black History Month program was Thursday night, and our first, third, and fifth grade classes did an impressive job showing off all that they have learned, particularly about North Carolina's HBCUs! The PTO ReadAThon is over, and they would like to thank every student and family that participated! Students read over 5,700 minutes! Fifth grade had an opportunity to tour Northern Granville Middle School. I arrived when this group started first grade, so it's hard to believe we're already looking at this transition!
Please join us for West Oxford’s famous Krispy Kreme Fundraiser. We will take orders from March 4 - 8 2024. Orders are $10 per dozen or BOGO cards are $20 each. All orders and money must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, March 8th. Doughnuts will arrive for pickup on Monday, March 25th. If we sell $9,000 worth of doughnuts, the students can duct tape Ms. Bonnemere to the wall! Every student who sells 7 or more boxes will get to add a piece of duct tape.
