What Are We Doing During Milestones
Champions Achieve Milestones!
The Georgia Milestones Assessment is a series of in-person, state standardized, and mandated tests for students in grades 3rd through 12th in a variety of subjects. Our students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade DO NOT participate in Milestones testing.
Most GCA staff members will be working in person at test sites around the state to assist with Milestones testing. Primary teachers will be assisting with in-person testing Monday-Wednesday, April 29-May 1. Live classes will be canceled for Primary students April 29-May 1. These are still school days. Primary students should log into Canvas and complete online coursework in their modules. Students must log into Canvas daily to be counted present for these dates.
While Primary students are expected to attend classes, those who are unable to do so due to sibling transportation issues for Milestones may watch class recordings. Please let your Attendance Specialist know if your student will watch recordings due to a sibling attending testing. Your student has the option to watch recordings on the days that their sibling is actually testing at a site.
The testing window for 3rd-12th grade students is April 25-May 3. Please reference the chart below to see class expectations for your Primary student.
If you have other student(s) who will be taking Milestones at a test site in April, we look forward to seeing you!
