Reading over the break
Don't let Winter break allow your children to slide backwards in their reading fluency and comprehension. Small doses over time is proven to be the most effective way to help students read.
With Winter Break upon us, and you don't want your children to slide back, you may be looking for some ways to keep your child learning. Here are some free reading apps that you may want to check out.

Shared Food Guidelines
Based on our new guidelines for 2016-2017, we will no longer allow homemade or home-baked food items to be served to students as a shared snack at all elementary school buildings. Foods/Snacks provided to students as a shared snack (e.g. birthday treats, class parties) during school hours or before/after school hours at school-sponsored events must be store-bought and display an ingredient label for food allergen verification.
Also, shared food and snacks must be free from peanuts and tree nuts.
For the safety of our students, this will continue to be strictly enforced here at Kinsner.

School Fees (repeat)
As a reminder all student fee payments are due by December 21. Fees not paid by December 21 will result in interruption of the student's PASS account, unless the student is currently on a payment plan. The Treasurer's Office will be mailed out reminder letters and fee statements.
Kinsner Giving Tree update
DECEMBER 5th THRU DECEMBER 16th
The KINSNER GIVING TREE is growing like crazy. Let’s see if we can collect more mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks to decorate our tree in the main office than we collected last year!
Don’t forget blankets for under the tree! Do you think we can do better than the 250 items we collected last year?
All items collected will be donated to a local charitable organization.
Thank you for your support of Student Council!
