Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!
I hope you all enjoyed our day off for snow. Please send in any pictures that were taken so we can share them with the class and the entire school.
Thank you!!!
Literacy Corner
What a short week we had. Although we were only in school for two days this week, we learned two new word wall words, as well as a new Letterlander with the letter and sound associated with it. We also talked about winter weather...SNOW!!! What a great week to talk about snow. We continued reading a variety of literature associated with winter, as well as wrote about what we would do on a snowy day. This writing was used as our 2nd Qt. assessment. You will receive a copy of it with the report card next week.
Next week we will conclude our winter unit. We will also introduce new Letterlanders and word wall words. We will continue working on our writing skills, as well as read more text associated with winter.
Math Lab
This week in math we reviewed counting and subtraction. We also completed our math assessments.
Next week we will continue to work on addition fact fluency to 5, as well as subtraction.
Parental Reminders
The students are doing a great job learning the material that is being taught. However, it is very important that they follow the expectations so they can learn and retain all that is meant for them to know in kindergarten. Please continue to review the expectations with your child at home.
