Winter Guard and All-State Band Members
Our Winter Guard programs had their last performance in the championships at Millennium High School. Winter Guard Purple earned a score of 76.50 and Winter Guard Black earned a score of 76.82! This is an amazing display of hard work and improvement throughout the season. We look forward to our marching season next fall. Congratulations Winter Guard for successful season in the face of adversity, having to overcome some of the interruptions and challenges caused by the unexpected facilities construction. Way to go!!!
This weekend, some of the band students had the opportunity to perform in the All-State Festival at the University of Arizona. It is a high honor being selected to perform, and we want to commend these student for representing RUHS so well with their amazing talents!
T-Building Water
It was brought to the attention of the school administration some concerns about impurities in our water supply. The school immediately notified district facilities, who contracted an outside provider to test the water. Upon receiving the results at the end of this past week, a higher concentration of impurities has been found in the water feeding our technology building. The remainder of the campus tested safe for all possible contaminants, and drinking water is also clear and safe but we are removing the use of water stations in the technology building out of abundance of caution.
District facilities immediately met and has initiated a plan to install a water recirculatory for the line that feeds into the technology building; the installation will take place over a weekend, after which, the water will be retested in the area.
Until the recirculatory has been installed, we will not be using any of the water for direct contact in the Tech building. Portable handwashing stations have been brought in to allow for sanitary conditions.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete these repairs for the health and safety of our campus. Progress of these repairs will be communicated as needed.
