New Additions to the Schedule
With the increase of attacks on the island, now is the time to take control. This class will focus on Krav Maga and Self Defense tactics. These skills will be coached in a way that they will also provide cardiovascular conditioning and functional movement training. Learn to protect yourself and make yourself stronger and fitter at the same time. Class is limited to 16 people.
New Class ~ Functional Fitness Conditioning ~ Tues/Thurs @ 5:15pm. Think longer workout than CrossFit, yet still incorporating all your favorite functional movements. Kettlebells, box jumps, wall balls, squats, pushups and more are delivered in a longer duration than a traditional CrossFit WOD to enhance and increase endurance while still focusing on form and technique.
Special Addition ~ Ryde and Yoga ~ Come join Lisa and Evie this Saturday at 4:30pm for a collision of two very different workouts. Spend the first 30 minutes with Lisa in our cycling room working on a high intensity based ride. Then we'll transition downstairs to our Fitness room, where Evie will lead a great Vinyasa Flow Class.
New Addition ~ Theme Ryde ~ Friday @ 5:30pm ~ Starting next week, Lisa and Johnna will alternate weeks teaching a Friday Night Theme Ride!! Send us your requests......we would love to know what you guys want to hear! We'll post the theme a few days ahead of time via email and Facebook!
New Class ~ Vinyasa Yoga ~ Sundays @ 4pm ~ This is a fun and energizing yoga class with special attention to alignment and synchronizing breath with movement. Classes are designed to build strength, increase flexibility, calm the mind and bring attention to the breath. Students of all levels are welcome!
Kids Krav ~ Next Sessions start 11/15
We have made a few tweaks to the Age Groups for our Kids Krav Program. Our next session of classes begins 11/15 and will run for 5 classes (No class 11/29). For those kids that are ready, belt testing will be on 11/22. Jules will notify when he thinks your child is ready for testing. If you would like order a uniform for your child, you can find it at Tigerclaw.com.
Cost: $65
Kids Krav Fundamentals (Ages 4 to 6) 11:15am to 12pm
Kids Krav Explorers (Ages 6 to 8) 12:15pm to 1pm
Kids Krav Adventurers (Ages 8 to 10) 1:15pm to 2pm
Kids Krav Gateway (Ages 10 to 12) 2:15pm to 3pm
The overlap in ages from one group to the next allows for flexibility depending on each child. For new students, please email info@nantucketfitness.com if you would like guidance on the right placement. For current Krav students, Jules can provide recommendations as needed.
