EVERY CHILD EVERY DAY
Morning Meeting - Greet, Share, Activity, Message
-Give the first greeter a paper airplane. That person greets someone in the circle and then gently throws the airplane to that person. (greet first then throw the paper airplane)
-Remind the students the only person that retrieves the airplane is the person being greeted.
-The person that retrieves the airplane greets the person who threw it and then greets someone new.
-Continue until everyone has been greeted.
Classroom Management Tip
Have some fun! Be sure your students see and experience that being in your classroom also means having fun. It is key to not only their motivation and attentiveness and instilling a love for learning, but it also affords you the leverage and influential presence to ask for and expect hard work, respect, and kind behavior from your students. You will protect their special community and their right to learn and enjoy school. ( Michael Linsin).
