A note from Mrs. Riesgraf
The month of May brings a shift in our school atmosphere. There is a new level of excitement in the air as students are energized by the pleasant weather and the approaching summer break.
There are several end of the year events scheduled. Be on the lookout for information in your child’s folder or assignment books for specific details and dates.
As educators, we pause to ponder the swift passage of time, often expressing wonder at how quickly the school year has progressed. We cannot believe how much our students have grown academically and physically. They amaze us each day with their ability to persevere while doing new and challenging things. It has been a privilege to contribute to their growth. We are so proud of our students. Please expect their final report card of the year the week of May 28-31.
We hope you can join us for our annual Track and Field Day for grades 1-6 on May 10. The day will begin with field events at 9:30 a.m. The Family Resource Council will be offering a picnic style meal at the Laura Park from 11 a.m. - noon. (see flyer below) The cost of this meal is minimal, with a free will donation. The proceeds will go toward the PE program to purchase equipment. I hope you might consider joining us with your family.
Summer school planning is underway. Teachers have been working to create a great learning experience for students. Registration for summer school can be found on the district website. You are also able to read about the classes that are being offered to students. Please note, they will not have the option for every class you see. We hope you will sign your child up for a great time exploring learning in an enriching environment.

The Scholastic Book Fair is back May 6-10!
Dear Families:
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place from MAY 6-10 in the LMC. Shopping hours are before and after school and during Track & Field Day on Friday.
Say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:
