Principal's Message
January 8, 2021
Hello Willink Families,
It was great to be back in the building with students and staff this week. I hope the return of the school routine has been helpful for all of our students and families as well. Technology teacher Mr. Hohman (pictured right) was out at buses each morning providing "directions" in case anyone lost their way.
A few announcements from this week:
Course Selection and Titan Night
8th grade families are invited to join the Thomas staff for Titan night this Monday. You should have received an email from me earlier this week but the flyer is also attached below. Google Meet Invites should be coming out Monday morning as well. This is an opportunity for students and parents to get a look at some elective options for next year and to meet some of the educators you will be working with.
Next week in homerooms, our 8th grade students will be able to view follow up presentations from each of these elective areas as they prepare to make their course selections in early February.
For our 6th and 7th grade families, please look for some information on course selection in the next couple weeks. 6th graders will be selecting music and world language choice and 7th graders will be selecting their music. More information to follow but good to start having these conversations now.
Exception Wednesdays
For your planning purposes, please note the January schedule as it has some school day exceptions. Due to no school for students on 1/18 and 1/29, the final two Wednesdays in January will be in-person days for hybrid students and normal rotations for our remote learners. Please see the image below or CLICK HERE to view the full calendar.
Honor Roll Postcards
To students who made honor roll for quarter 1, look for your postcard to come in the mail any day. They were sent out yesterday in addition to announcements in the local paper and through this newsletter. Once again, congratulations and keep up the great work!
Once again, great to see our kids in classes again. Happy New Year!
