Audition for #HUSHpodcast
Seeking actors to play Chaos, the Chief, Nimkii, Kishkedee
Auditions on January 6, 9:00 to 10:30 AM
Auditions will take place at ArtReach St. Croix, 224 N Fourth Street in Stillwater. Please email steph@theshireonline.com to reserve a spot and to receive an audition packet.
Roles:
NIMKII
A boy that lives in Geyaabi. He enjoys looking after the younger kids in the tribe. He has a slight flair for the dramatic. He has a crush on Aandeg (the medicine woman’s apprentice) and always tries to impress her. He is young but fairly well trained with physical abilities and how to help other members of the tribe.
KISHKEDEE
Kishkedee is a young girl who is a member of the tribe. She loves Nimkii’s stories and eats them up. She is bright and curious.
CHIEF
The chief of the tribe we have met is a strong, wise leader. He listens to what others have to say and takes all options into consideration before making a decision or acting upon it. His main priority is the safety and well-being of his people. He is friendly. He is perhaps related to Aandeg somehow, but the exact relation is undecided as of now.
Chaos
An immortal being scattered across space and trapped in an uncountable number of boxes. Some boxes have been destroyed, and some pieces of Chaos have escaped into the world. An unusually large amount of this chaos energy has inhabited Marcel, and as more gathers, Chaos begins to be able to manifest and speak with his “host.”
Chaos is unpredictable. He is dramatic and childish, but this does not typically manifest in pettiness and temper tantrums, rather a loose/laid back flippancy and singsong attitude. He also takes on a “fake innocent” persona on occasion. He has a tendency to treat others as though they are younger, less experienced, and need supervision, as he feels a need for power and control... For more information on Chaos, click here

About HUSH
#HUSHpodcast, otherwise known as HUSH, is a sci-fi series written, performed and produced by students in grades eight through twelve. Students write the script, compose the music, create the sound effects, act the roles, record the audio and edit each episode. It takes an eclectic team of creatives to produce the show which is first broadcast on the radio program Voices in the Valley before being uploaded onto iTunes, Google Play Music and Stitcher. (The podcast has been downloaded over 9500 times since its release in 2017!) Our goal with HUSH is to provide as professional an experience as possible to students. In addition to developing writing skills, students learn about industry standards and how to work on a creative team.
