Changes to the Service Cord Guidelines – Effective 12/16/2023
The LCISD Service Cord Guidelines have been updated. Students must now attend a volunteer service function to receive hours. Moving forward, creating cards, decorations, or baked goods and donating those items to an organization will not be accepted as hours towards Service Cord. We are no longer accepting these types of hours due to organizations within our community having more volunteer opportunities since the COVID-19 pandemic stipulations have been lifted.
Updated Guidelines - https://www.lcisd.org/docs/default-source/departments/academics/gifted-talented/dual-credit/additional-resources/service-cord-guidelines--updated-12-16.pdf?sfvrsn=f5f5ece0_1
The next Service Cord deadline will be April 15th for seniors and May 1st for 9th – 11th graders. Students are not required to participate in the Service Cord.
