Fall 2020 Carpool Must Know
Carpool 101
Hawk Parents,
By now, you may realize just how complicated carpool can be! If you are new #ontheHil or if you are returning, carpool is a well oiled machine that can make or break our dismissal routines each day. Reviewing the information in this special, Carpool Wing, will help us keep our carpool line as smooth as possible.
The Basics
ARRIVAL PARENT CHECKLIST
- Avoid using your cell phone during carpool.
- Avoid passing other cars unless directed by a staff member. Students are constantly moving and it is our entire community's responsibility to care for our students.
- Exit for students should be on the right side of the car.
- Pay attention to carpool attendants, you will be directed when it's time to pull up to the appropriate cone.
- Do not allow your child out of the car until they have completed the health screening with an adult.
- Prompt your child to unbuckle their safety belt, once your car has stopped. Staff cannot take children out of car-seats.
- Please do not get out of your car for safety.
- As soon as your child exits the vehicle safely, please move your vehicle forward.

Carpool Cones
We will use 3 cones for carpool in order to support a reduced crowd and social distancing for dismissal. This means carpool will take longer. This is for the safety of students as we work to support social distancing measures for staff and students.
Carpool Tags
If you still need carpool tags, we will have them available in the afternoons for you. If you are unable to get your tag in the afternoon, you can call our office to schedule another time.
*Carpool tags are $2 (cash).
