Chromebook & Learning Kit/School Supply Pick-Up will be Wednesday, Sept 9th, Thursday, September 10th & Friday, September 11th
All of our K-5th grade students who are in need of an electronic device to access their Comprehensive Distance Learning or Online Thrive curriculum will be provided with a school issued Chromebook. Even if you do not need a Chromebook for your child, please click on the link to schedule a time to pick up your child's Learning Kit & school supplies. All students are receiving school supplies for free this school year and in addition to school supplies the Learning Kit is specifically designed for your child by his or her teacher and will include items like their math book, a whiteboard, writing journal, etc.
When we return to on-site learning, your child will bring these supplies back to school with them. Thank you!

What will the first two week of online learning in the Comprehensive Distance Learning/Hybrid school option look like?
Our first week of school will be focused on connecting with all of our families through Zoom to have one-on-one family & teacher conferences.
All Students K-5 Enrolled in Comprehensive Distance Learning/Hybrid
Monday, September 14th- Friday, September 18th ~ Family/Teacher Conferences- Each family will sign up for a day/time to have a conference with their child's teacher.
- A link to sign up for this conference will be sent out (through email & text & posted to our school website) by the end of the day on Thursday, September 10th.
- During this conference your child's teacher will teach you and your child how to access their live Zoom classes through our online learning platform Seesaw. If you are going to have another caregiver/parent/grandparent work with your child during the school day, it would be a good idea to invite them to this conference if possible!
- There will be no live synchronous teaching lessons this week while teachers are conducting conferences.
K-2 Students Enrolled in Comprehensive Distance Learning/Hybrid
Our second week of school at the K-2 level will be focused on assessment. Teachers will set up individual times to Zoom with each of their students to assess their skills and place them in appropriate learning groups.
Monday, September 21st-Friday, September 25th ~ K-2 Individual Assessment with students
- Your kindergarten, 1st grade or 2nd grade teacher will schedule a time to conduct one-on-one assessments in the area of reading, writing & math with your child this week.
- Each morning your child will participate in live synchronous whole class morning meeting Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
- Students will also have on their own asynchronous learning activities in Seesaw.
- After assessment is completed, students will be placed in small learning groups for math & reading/writing. Teachers will communicate this with you through our parent communication app in Seesaw.
3rd-5th Grade Students Enrolled in Comprehensive Distance Learning/Hybrid
Monday, September 21st-Friday, September 25th ~ 3rd-5th Live Teaching Schedule Begins
- Students in 3rd, 4th & 5th grade will complete their assessment online through our eSpark program.
- Live teaching in whole & small groups begins this week for 3rd-5th grade students.
- Your teacher will share the class schedule with you during your one-on-one conference during the week of Sept. 14th.
Online Thrive Teacher
Ms. Alice and her teaching assistants will connect with each family via email or phone starting next week to connect with each family and be sure you have what you need to be successful in your Online Thrive curriculum.

FREE Breakfast & Lunch K-5
Please help us continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all of our K-5 students!
Pacific Ridge Elementary School will continue to participate in a Universal Lunch and School Breakfast Program for the current school year (2020-2021). All students enrolled at the Elementary school may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge to them.
For the last two years families have not been required to fill out Free and Reduced Applications. This year, it will be critical for the future of this program that all of our families complete applications. Use the link to complete your Household application for Free and Reduced Meals or you can get a paper copy when you pick up your child's Chromebook & Learning Kit.
