CASS COUNTY FAIR HELP NEEDED!
We are looking for 4-H Clubs to work the Mini Golf again this year!!
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 11 am to 4 pm
Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 4 pm to 9 pm
Must have at least 1 adult (over 18) and a few youth each time. Each time slot is paid $250.00!
We also need National Anthem singers for the track events this year! $25 for the carnival wristband.

SHOOTING SPORTS INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
There will be a Shooting Sports Instructor initial training and update workshop in Albion NE on April 13 & 14, 2024. More details can be found here: https://4h.unl.edu/shooting-sports-leaders
Little Free Pantries
Little Free Pantries (LFP) are weather and animal-proof structures that store food and other items for those in need.
Extension is seeking local youth groups and organizations that are interested in building and maintaining a LFP to improve food security. Interested? Fill out the form: https://go.unl.edu/lfp
Selected youth groups will receive materials and training from to build a LFP at an agreed upon site. Youth groups will be responsible for maintaining and stocking the LFP for three years after installation.
4-H Horse Stampede
The 4-H Horse Stampede entry portal is open! Also, new for 2024 is the addition of elementary age group (8-10) for all contests.
Online Entry Procedures:
Entries for 2024 4-H Horse Stampede are utilizing 4-H Online. Youth need to login to their 4-H Online account and click on the events tab, then select the 2024 Horse Stampede event. Or utilize the following link to register (be sure to utilize the same email account used when enrolling in 4-H):

Corn Yield Challenge 2024
This competition not only fosters a spirit of innovation in corn production but also serves as a platform for recognizing dedication and excellence within the 4-H and FFA communities. 2024 UNL Chick Days
Chick Days is an annual educational event for small and back-yard poultry producers and youth to learn more about the poultry industry. The event is open to both youth (Ages 7-18) and adults (ages 19 and up).
This years event will be held from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., on March 16, 2024 at the Department of Animal Science, 3940 Fair St., Lincoln, NE.

2024 Spring Rabbit Show
The 4-H Spring Rabbit Show will be held on Saturday, March 16, 9 a.m. at Sandhills Global Event Center, 84th & Havelock – South Hall. Open to all youth ages 8–18, with a Clover Kids class for youth ages 5–7. This is a great opportunity for youth to talk to other 4-H’ers about where to purchase a good rabbit for a 4-H project, and to learn and practice showmanship. Volunteer Orientation *** ALL VOLUNTEERS PLEASE COMPLETE! ***
The Nebraska 4-H Volunteer Orientation serves as an introduction to the 4-H Youth Development program in Nebraska. As part of the screening process, the orientation covers a variety of foundational and essential topics. Any interested individuals including current or prospective volunteers, are welcome to complete the orientation. However, all new volunteers serving in direct roles, such as club leader, project leader, or workshop presenter, are required to complete the orientation. Volunteers are also required to complete the orientation as part of the re-screening process.
