Meet your Homeschool Teacher (HST)
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Brandi Neal and I am your HST! Welcome back to those of you I have worked with already, and welcome to those of you who are new to my class. I am looking forward to supporting you on your homeschooling journey. I am so excited about the upcoming 2019-2020 school year! Inspire is such a wonderful school and has so much to offer.
I'm a mom and a wife and love to travel with my family. I love a good adventure! Both of my kids are involved with multiple sports so we spend A LOT of time on a field or in a gym and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have been teaching for 13 years and helping parents teach their kids has been the highlight of my career. No one knows your babies like you do, and I am honored to be a part of your homeschool adventure!
It’s time to start thinking about the 19-20 school year. I have included LOTS of information for you below. I will be reaching out as the school year approaches. During our first call, we will review some of these items and I will answer any questions you may have.

Work Samples
Student work samples are required for each learning period to represent what your child has been working on.
TK-8th Grade: You will select one work sample from either Math, Reading, Science, or Social Studies.
High School: Students will submit one work sample from each course they are currently enrolled in.
Attendance
Submitting your student attendance is very easy here at Inspire! All attendance will be logged through the Parent Portal and archived each learning period. The learning periods (LPs) will be about every 20 school days. Final attendance with signature and date is due on the last day of the learning period. I will send you a separate email with your login information.
2019-2020 School Year- Enrichment Adventures Update
The Enrichment Adventures (EA) is an optional program where students can meet in person once a week. They will be grouped by grade level and be with the same students and EA teacher for the duration of the year. This is geared toward socialization and cooperative learning, but also academic!
We know many of you are anxiously awaiting to enroll for the Enrichment Adventures program for the 2019-20 school year. We are excited to announce that we have been working on a new registration process and system that will be more streamlined. We are currently finalizing the system and getting ready to roll it out. Enrichment Adventures registration will open in May.
Each student who enrolls in the Enrichment Adventures program for the 2019-20 school year will have a fee of $125 per semester deducted from their funds for their participation in the Enrichment Adventures program. These deducted funds will go directly toward funding our amazing Enrichment Adventures teaching staff. The Enrichment Adventures teachers go above and beyond in their efforts to create a wonderful classroom experience for their students. This small deduction from student funds will help to compensate them for their time and dedication to this program.
Further details regarding exact Enrichment Adventures locations and registration for the 2019-20 school year will be shared in the coming weeks.

I Can Statements
The “I Can How to Guide” document will show how you can use “I Can Statements” to help your child and ensure that they are on track for their grade level. These guides are here to help you if you need direction, or if you merely want to see what other students at the same grade level are learning throughout the year. If you would like to check off the standards you complete with your child, fantastic. If you don’t, that's great too. I am merely presenting you with an awesome tool that could help further your homeschooling goals. This information will be sent at the beginning of the year.
