Radio Waves
What are radio waves?
Radio waves are a type of electromagnetic radiation. They have the longest wavelengths of all the types of electromagnetic radiation. You are very lucky you are unable to hear radio waves because then you would hear just about every radio station and conversation across the world.
Radio Waves
Who discovered radio waves?
A Scottish physicist James Clerk Maxwell had predicted the existence of radio waves. Then a German physicist named Heinrich Hertz used Maxwell's theories to produce and receive radio waves.
What are radio waves used for?
Radio waves are most commonly used for radios. Radio is used for broadcasting music, sports, news, and talk shows.
How does a radio work?
A radio works by picking up invisible waves called radio waves. These waves are then transformed into mechanical vibrations in the speaker then into sound.
