Health Impacts Negative
A negative effect of infrared is Eye damage. The human eye is sensitive to all radiation, including infrared radiation and exposure to intense infrared radiation can damage the lens and the cornea of the eye. Another negative effect of infrared is in high enough concentrations it can also damage skin and tissues because Infrared radiation waves are the same as heat waves. It can also burn your skin because its high intensity of heat. Another negative effect is infrared radiation contributes in the greenhouse effect. the earth’s surface and the clouds above it absorb radiation from the sun’s rays and reemit it as infrared radiation back out into the atmosphere. When the air above the earth’s surface has a high concentration of water vapor, elements such as sulfur and nitrogen, and chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons, the infrared radiation becomes trapped on the earth. This causes increased temperatures and changes in weather that could be harmful to people and animals.
Description of wave
Infrared radiation extends from the nominal red edge of the visible spectrum at 700 nanometers (nm) to 1 mm. This range of wavelengths corresponds to a frequency range of approximately 430 THz down to 300 GHz. Below infrared is the microwave portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Health Impacts Positive
Far Infrared Rays positives are it may improve the immune system by giving protection against harmful viruses and bacteria. It can also improvement of the body defense system may stop the increase of cancer cells by speeding up. According to tests on animals, the increase of malignant tumors like sarcoma and melanoma were notably less when treated with infrared. Suppression and prevention of the effects of arteriosclerosis have been performed by stopping the formation of peroxide and adipose. A positive clinical effect was found with patients who had blood circulation troubles. Other diseases which may show improvement with far infrared ray treatments include rheumatoid arthritis, paralysis, diabetes, lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, occlusion by arteriosclerosis, raynaud's disease and progressive hardening of the arteries.
