Conservation Vs Preservation
By: Sam Ehmke
Conservation
-Animals will die no matter what
-Helps Control Populations
Preservation
-As is
-Allows populations to rebuild themselves
Why should deer hunting be allowed?
Injury Rate
•The injury rate for hunting is lower than that of some other forms of physical recreation, such as football and bicycling.
Hunting is an effective form of Animal Management
Because many Animals, such as Deer, have had their natural predators diminished in wildlife, hunting is necessary to preform the function of wolves or cougars in keeping the deer population in check. Also, reducing the deer population will reduce conflicts such as car/deer collisions, landscaping damage, and Lyme disease.
Financially Cheaper
Overall, it is more expensive for immunocontraception or hired shooters than it is for hunters who are happy to hunt for free.
