School Board continues push for impact fees; *Spoiler alert: Our property tax rate will drop, again
Our Kuna Board of Trustees is working to change Idaho law to allow school district to receive impact fees to help offset the cost of growth. In the short video below, School Board Vice Chairman Joy Thomas gives a quick update on this effort.

In case you missed it: School meals are free for all
Thanks to an extension of the federal summer food program, meals are currently free to children ages 1-18. This includes students receiving meals at school and for their remote at home days.
Payments for meals made after the program started on Sept. 1 will be refunded. This program is expected to last through December.
Our meals-to-go service for remote learning days kicked off today with families picking up about 3,300 breakfast/lunch combos for next week's remote learning days! Each Monday, we email the order form.
Shout out to our nutrition services team for their efforts to provide meals-to-go for remote learning days and then their work to prepare all those meals!

How do I select Kuna Education Association to support when shopping on AmazonSmile?

Amazon will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make through AmazonSmile will result in a donation. AmazonSmile will occasionally contact you about donation amounts disbursed to your chosen charity or about the program.I currently have another organization chosen for AmazonSmile, can I change it to Kuna Education Foundation?
Yes, you can change your charity any time. To change your charity on your web browser, simply select "Change your Charity" in "Your Account." You can also visit AmazonSmile under settings on your Amazon Shopping app and select "Change your Charity." You can search for Kuna Education Foundation and then select it.How can I learn more about AmazonSmile?
Please see complete AmazonSmile program details.Do not send your student to school if someone in your household is COVID positive
When you or anyone in your household tests positives for COVID, your children -- even if they are not sick -- must stay home for at least 14 days or as directed by the local health department.
If your child or one of our staff members become ill, please consult the KSD decision guide (shown above and downloadable below) to determine what steps to take. When in doubt, please err on the side of caution. Get tested. Stay home when sick. Stay home until you are symptom-free for 24 hours without medication.
COVID-19 update
As we plan for our K-5 students to return to school for in person learning five days a week, Central District Health recommends when more students are in a building, we need to divide our students into smaller groups to minimize exposure.
We’ll group classes into “pods” or “families” of four or five children
We’ll space these groups 6 feet or more apart when in the classroom
We will have more information about this with examples in next week's update.
