Just like skinny jeans, superhero movies, and celebrity weight loss, racism continues to make a comeback. Luckily for us, campus speaker W. Kamau Bell is here to make (non)sense of all of it all. "The Curve" is a comedic, topical exploration of the current state of America's racism, combined with a little (unknown) history, a little Powerpoint, and a whole bunch of Kamau. And because racism is always attacking in new ways and from new angles, Kamau attacks back by constantly adding new material. "The Curve" is a seamless mix of stand-up comedy, video and audio clips, personal stories, knowledge-dropping, and solo theatrical performance.Friday, January 27

SDAP is seeking specialized supports!
Paid spring semester position, approximately 5 hours per week and may continue into summer. We need someone who is interested in working one on one with a student on digital media. This student would like to create animated films and is taking a Digital Imaging course this semester. The position would be paid through a support services agency but we are recruiting for the student.
We need male applicants for our College Life Fellows Program (2017-18)!
We are seeking a rising sophomore, or above, male student, next year (2017-18) as a residential support to live in Summit Hall in a suite with male scholars from SDAP.
Fellowship awards in the amount of $500-$1000 per semester will be granted.
If you are interested in either position, or have questions, please email Anna Ward, sdap@appstate.edu with your name and the position you are interested in.
