Principal's Greeting
Happy Friday Norris Staff!
We have our first full week with students under our belts. It has been great to see kids get into their routines, and understand their schedules. It has also been great to see teachers continuing to teach and reinforce procedures and routines while diving into the content as well. Our instructional focus for the first month is learning goals, specifically, posting, unpacking, and referencing learning goals. I have highlighted some powerful practices below.
Our fall sports have also begun, with many students participating in volleyball, football and cross country. A huge shout-out to our coaches for their time and dedication to our kids: Parks and Reid (VB), Langabee, Plank, Cobelens, Bernard (football) and Rossell and Rechkemmer (cross country). Thanks also to Mr. Schnabel, Ms. Connie, and Mr. Wize for all their work coordinating paperwork and transportation after school.
Friday, August 30 will be our Redbirds Rising Day. More info to come via email, but just remember to wear Norris gear that day as we film our school promotional video.
Have a great weekend!
