JK2's October News
Miss Gephart
Look what we did in September!
Apples, Apples, Apples
We enjoyed talking about everything apple! We tasted red, yellow and green apples, apple butter and apple jelly. We created a bar graph of our favorite apples. We talked all about Johnny Appleseed and answered questions as if we lived the life of Johnny Appleseed (what we would plant instead of an apple tree, what we would wear on our head and our favorite apple food). In math, we put together apple puzzles and sorted apples by size and color. At the end of our apple unit, we created apple men!
All about colors!
We started and completed our color unit! We talked about all the different colors, creating a variety of crafts associated with each color. We made ladybugs, bears, a turtle, spider, jack-o-lantern and a blue bird. We're continuing to practice reading our color words and we're getting better everyday!
Grandparent's Day!
We celebrated Grandparent's day! Our Grandparent's came to school to hang out with us for the afternoon. We enjoyed cookies and ice tea with them and played color bingo! We also decorated a picture frame together for them to take home and place on their refrigerator! It was a fun filled afternoon! :)
