GVCS Teachers Lead the Way with STEAM Initiatives
Churning butter. Designing and constructing tea crates. Conducting a smallpox infection simulation.
These probably aren’t the types of activities that you’d expect to see in elementary and middle school classrooms.
But they’re just the sort of innovative hands-on learning projects that teachers at Genesee Valley Central School are designing to engage their students in the classroom.
Online COVID-19 Report Form
FAQ from the Allegany County Dept. of Health
Q: "Should my child stay home from school with a runny nose?"
A: When a student exhibits some symptoms (i.e. runny nose, cough) but has not been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case, the student should follow up with their health care provider if they are asked to remain home from school. The health care provider may order a COVID-19 test or evaluate the student prior to returning to school.
